After the birches burst into yellow flame, and the leaves have already mostly fallen, the real show begins. The Finns call it maaruska (maa means earth and ruska is their name for the autumn colors).
This isn’t nearly the most spectacular, but it was the only place I had time to get off a few shots.
Hopefully more coming soon. We go to the forest to start herding tomorrow!
